The Role

Join a friendly, employee-owned, award-winning international outdoor business as a Facilities and Standards Administrator.

 

We’re looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Facilities and Standards Administrator. This is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in facilities and business operations. You’ll support the day-to-day running of our buildings and services and play a key role in maintaining and improving the group’s record keeping and responses to internal facilities requirements.

 

You’ll work with a supportive team and get hands-on experience with important tasks like record keeping, tracking spending, audits and health and safety checks as well as managing relationships with both internal Partners and external resources. The role will involve some building maintenance; previous experience is preferred but is not essential as training can be provided.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage helpdesk requests and ensure tasks are allocated to appropriate individuals
  • Liaise with the business to understand facilities requirements and manage expectations.
  • Deal with urgent building maintenance tasks by providing effective temporary repairs and engaging external contractors as necessary.
  • Order, manage and distribute facilities related consumables and beverage making supplies for all sites.
  • Manage all company vehicle records, including mileage, bookings, servicing, and condition checks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and external resources to get quotes and book in jobs as required.
  • Keep records and receipts of department spending and complete monthly expenses returns.
  • Support the Health & Safety Manager with regular safety checks (e.g. fire systems and water testing)
  • Assist with audits and work with teams across the business to rectify non-compliance issues.
  • Carry out regular visual inspections of electrical equipment in line with Electricity at Work Regulations.

 

You Will Be:

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A good communicator, both in writing and in person
  • Well-organised and able to follow processes
  • Calm and positive when solving problems
  • Familiar with ISO management systems and good working practice with regards to H&S
  • Good with numbers and possess an understanding of budgeting
  • Confident tackling a wide variety of skilled repairs in all areas of building maintenance

 

The successful applicant will be based at our Wadhurst site, working onsite five days a week. You will need a full clean UK driving licence as this role requires occasional travel.
